Why not just invest in a recording studio depending on the budget!!

Lozzy......
one question.....why do all this to a perfectly good "luxury" car just to enable you to have a stereo that is far too loud to appreciate the finer points of the music you are playing?
No offence, but as a musician in my previous life there is a finite volume you must have to hear
all
the elements of a piece of music-surely the volume you will eventually get and SPL will obviate the principle of sound enjoyment?
Is it purely "because you can make it that loud" rather than having the
best
quality sound?
sorry, find the principle hard to understand, please explain.

i do get this question quite a lot this is mainly for my own enjoyment i have a varied taste in music mostly drum and bass its the bass part that ticks my boxes when listening to music
the omega is the best car up to the job
the car is also usied in the 3 competition formats which are run in the uk
http://www.dbdragracing.com/
and bass race
and proppa droppers
http://www.streetbassers.co.uk/
they record the maximum SPL thats achieved by my cars aim is for a 155DB peak and a average SPL of 150+
heres a few videos its like drag racing but for audio

WOW!!
considering hearing damage occurs just after 130db, 155 db is KILLING!!!
weird sport, but would like to hear this (from a distance??) and appreciate.

its a hard one to explain why
damaging your hearing is quite serious we do practice safe sound
a night club will damage your ears quicker than what these cars can do its a different attenuation eg 110db of high frequency's will damage your ears quicker than a 130db of bass

Funny you should say that.....
whenI play on stage (rock music) I wear in ear monitors, and they act as earplugs to some degree too.
We REGULARLY exceed 100 db, but the audience sometimes tell us they can't hear the vocals at the back of the venue.
The people in the front row MUST be hurting their hearing, surely??

EACH SIDE:
15" with 12" on top (pole inbetween to space) 3x 3" tweeters in top of cab.
IN THE MIDDLE: 2x 18" sub-bass woofers with separate amps
IN THE FRONT: 12" in-fills with 12"" monitors running on separate amps, we use in -ear monitors for vocals only.
All musicians have their own back-line amps, but all go through mixer on line out on rear.
Any good??

Iphone fail
was thinking about your set up maybe worth investing in some fill depending on venue size to project for people at the back?

Mmm. suggestions?
Got a good setup size wise for an audience of 200-300, don't do much more than that unless it's a large wedding or nightclub party sort of gig.
Have done a 700+, but hired in a PA from a local supplier to save on the transport costs as on a cruise ship, brilliant sound but over £10k if I had to buy it..........
Any suggestions welcomed.

No Sh*t !
Did the Live action arena at Max power a few years back... And managed to remove myself from the topless action to have a look at the compitition sound installs....
It's almost nothing to do with quality... Just sheer level - These guys were pushing 150+db ! - Our best G2 touring rig would only get to 146db and that's considered "Awsome" in PA circles...
AND - +3db = double the energy, +10db = double the volume percieved by the ear. so you need a 3000w amp to be twice as loud as an 800w one...
There was a chevy van running 45KW !!!!!! and 4 21" PD subs. Cracked windscreens seemed to be an issue !
Everyone's at it.......
