Good morning gents. I've done the paper clip test and it read * - ** = 12, and *** -* = 31 fiddled with the wires and hey presto! she's running. I will however get a fresh sensor in case it happens again. Thanks for all your help and suggestions, very appreciated  :y

Thanks guys, getting her up in the air today to get a better look. There is another sensor hanging down at the side of the oil filter! dunno why?,it's not in use tho. It's been like that since last August.  I aint got a tester for the codes, but i'll see what i can do when i get under her. She's a 2.5 v6 1998 cd and was running beautifully till now. If i dont have any joy i'll try and get a tester for the codes. Will get back to you on progress, Thanks again guys your help is much appreciated.

Omega General Help / Re: Side Light Out
« on: 23 December 2006, 20:56:24 »
Did what Chopsdad suggested and yes Andy they  are all glass wedge fit into bulb holder.   As was said, a bit difficult to get out. I've replaced the bulb with a 5watt, same as the one I took out. Working fine now, so you were both right with your info, thanks again for your help, especially Chopsdad.

Omega General Help / Knock Senser &  cranckshaft Senser
« on: 06 November 2006, 20:02:26 »
When I did an oil and filter change today I noticed a knock senser hanging by the side of  the filter. I've only had my meega a few weeks and it runs like a dream. Do I leave well alone or did I ought to fit it to the block as it should be. D'ont want to spoil performance. V6 2.5 :-/ :-[

I've just changed to an Omega v6 after owning a BMW 5 series for 4 years. Great car up to now, with lots more equipment and beautiful to drive. You all seem to be a good bunch and I look forward to using the forum. I'm getting on a bit  though just turned 64yrs young.
