Good morning gents. I've done the paper clip test and it read * - ** = 12, and *** -* = 31 fiddled with the wires and hey presto! she's running. I will however get a fresh sensor in case it happens again. Thanks for all your help and suggestions, very appreciated Mick
Thanks guys, getting her up in the air today to get a better look. There is another sensor hanging down at the side of the oil filter! dunno why?,it's not in use tho. It's been like that since last August. I aint got a tester for the codes, but i'll see what i can do when i get under her. She's a 2.5 v6 1998 cd and was running beautifully till now. If i dont have any joy i'll try and get a tester for the codes. Will get back to you on progress, Thanks again guys your help is much appreciated. Mick
Parked her up in the garage yesterday tried to start her today. She winds over ok, all the dash lights come on but the eml and battery light stay on. Can anyone please help me cry
Did what Chopsdad suggested and yes Andy they are all glass wedge fit into bulb holder. As was said, a bit difficult to get out. I've replaced the bulb with a 5watt, same as the one I took out. Working fine now, so you were both right with your info, thanks again for your help, especially Chopsdad. Mick
Thanks for your info guys really appreciated. I've just read "Marks DTM calib"article about the Knock Sensor on the Tech Info page which I should have done earlier, I'm learning loads! . I'm gonna have another look under there tmorrer. If that's right what "The Boy" suggest's I'll leave well alone ( :question) Thanks again .
When I did an oil and filter change today I noticed a knock senser hanging by the side of the filter. I've only had my meega a few weeks and it runs like a dream. Do I leave well alone or did I ought to fit it to the block as it should be. D'ont want to spoil performance. V6 2.5 :-/
