Adjusted handbrake the wrong way on the bullet yesterday, as a quick and dirty adjustment following subframe swap, and cable replacement. Was in a hurry, as had a 3.2 with a suspected failed ECM to look at.

Found the arse to be a bit lary, needs some love once it has an MOT on it.

Put some smelly liquid into the tank of the Battlebus, it managed a whopping 28mpg from the last tank.  Its all that power it has ;D
I dare you to change into top... Might even manage 30mpg :-P

Adjusted handbrake, rear pads and quick check over for MOT. Been busy and left it late... MOT runs out in 8 days  ::)

Needs a new steering idler... Cock >:(

Is the Lemforder quality still in question? May end up being a cheaper one (although not sure I'd trust Febi or Firstline ::)) just to tide me over as pennies are a bit tight with the imminent arrival of Little LD Part 2!

Still, it confirms my suspicions over the very vague handling of late ::) I did try convincing myself it was just down to tyre pressures as I've got a slow puncture but it never really worked! May even get a full geometry done before the summer then I can get decent tyres on the Sport Stars :y

Yes, I've a crusty 2.8i Capri tank to sort for a friend's 2.0i project. I'm not looking forward to it.

I'm now pretty adept at filling in the hole I've just blown, let's put it that way ;D ;D

I suppose I'd better order a steering idler today otherwise the mot will never get done!!

And now it's MOT time. Here's hoping for a pass but a drop link wouldn't be a shock

Washed it - two bucket method as always. Gave the underside & arches a good blast with hot soapy water via the karcher to get rid of any salt residue which our council provides free of charge to all road users.

Washed it-Eastern European method as always. Drive in, watch the little bastards run round like demented ants for 10 minutes, drive out.

They take of dirt and lacquer in equal measures.I would rather leave the car dirty than let them anywhere near it.

Finally replaced the badly worn handbrake gaiters on both my PFL Omega's.

Got hold of two decent gaiters from face lift cars. Thought it might just be a straight swap but the shape and fitting lugs of the plastic frame that the black vinyl is stapled too is different.  >:(

Had to unpicked the staples to release the black vinyl (gaiter) then re-stapled the vinyl onto the original frame.

Another long standing job done :y

And...........

Finally replaced the bonnet struts on my 2.5 Elite after the bonnet nearly took my head off. :o

With the new ones fitted (a 10 minute job) the bonnet now behaves itself and securely locks itself in the upright position.

Should have done this years ago.  :-[
