Congratulations! Long may it survive.

It's interesting how Omegas age in different ways. My oldest two, V6 estates, a V reg and an X reg, romped through their MOTs earlier this month. I had checked the cills before submission, no rust. The next, an X reg saloon Desmond, not good at all, see other posts. Last year my youngest Omega, an 03 V6, failed on cills and needed serious welding.

Sadly they are reaching the stage when they are becoming challenging to keep going, and cheap e-bay replacements are elusive.

Indeed, this one seems to be quite well behaved (touch wood!).

The swede also passed today, with only an advisory for balding front tyres. They’re 30k old and I knew they were close to shot, but I wasn’t going to drop £150 only to find out the rest of the car was Donald ducked.  ::)

My plod had no holes. Inspite of its hard life, yet the low mileage ones all seem to be falling apart :-\

My plod was the 03 3.2, which failed MOT on holes at the back of both cills, which the garage charged me £300 to repair. As you say, it's hard to find a pattern in which cars will rust first.
