Today I was transferred from Southport Hospital to the Liverpool Heart and cardiac hospital at Broad green. Where I had an angiagram and a stent fitted, and confirmation that my chest pains on Tuesday were a moderate heart attack.
Not helped by recent events, no doubt. It's very easy to say, and not very easy to do, but you must de-stress. Things are not good at the moment, but dying will not help.

Booooo.  My 2 weeks holiday - when I was supposed to be in Italy -  has come to an end. Stinky work on Monday :(

What have I achieved in those 2 weeks?

Errr, well, hmmm ;D

I did tidy the loft, by moving the junk to be binned to the garage, so will spend the next 2 months slowly getting it in the wheelie bins.

I tried to find a feasible replacement for my Windows 7 Media Center, so tried the latest versions of:
Plex (still shite, struggling to see its purpose really)
Media Portal (still too unreliable, and lacking plugins for v2)
MythTV (Too much friggin, every time you have to retune)
Kodi (shite as a media centre, obviously its raison d'etre is illegal streams)

So its running Windows 8 Media Center.  When Win8 goes out of security support, I'm knackered, as none of the list above are going anywhere, and the hacked Windows 10 WMC is too much hassle as it need modifying/reinstalling with every Windows feature update.  That said, we're recording less and less now, as the only good stuff on telly are the repeats that we've all seen too many times.

My 2 lockdown toys I bought - a Tamiya Hotshot and a DJI Mavic 2 - have both seen a lot of action in the last 2 weeks.  In fact, the Mavic 2, since I got it late April, has now done over 240km, 95% of which from the bedroom window ;D.  If I take out trips to fix shite at work, that's more than I've driven in that time ;D

Lastly, my tomatoes and courgettes have come along nicely during my "Italy" hols :)

Saw the MIL off on Friday, a full on Inbetweeners moment on the way there as an over keen VW cut in just behind the hearse, following a little education from the passenger it then pulled into a layby, I think the vicar had been dug up to,  bit 4 weddings and a funeral Rowan Atkinson esq. Although he did get her name right, which he kept getting wrong before hand by calling her Sheila (maybe he was Australian?)

A bit more done on the tractor, all the bonnet badges are fully fitted, including the original crest badge which I managed to find during a garage tidy up.

The cooling system is now fully back together, fill pipe and bracket attached.

The instrument panel is the next bit to be wired up, hopefully this weekend (if the switches arrive).

Then I need to think about getting some fluids and a battery, maybe even a start up  ???

My Nan was late for her own send off because half the roads between Taverham an Aylsham were closed for resurfacing work, and they either hadn't checked or realised so ended up going almost into Norwich from North Elmham to get back to Hainford ::) Funny old day that was :-\

Those old Daimlers weren't really built for hustling ;D

Not sure about that. Some years ago, my Dad was taking my Mum somewhere years ago in a DS420 and wound it up to around 95 .... my Mum was completely oblivious to the speed.  ;D ;D

I agree, I had a mate who was a funeral director, weekends were for weddings, if he was short of drivers for the weddings he use to rope me in to drive one of the Daimlers.

They could certainly shift when needed to.

I remember one Sunday lunchtime, we were having a game of snooker in the club, his mother rang and said there was a body to collect from Gloucester morgue.

I went along for the ride in the Daimler hearse, he was clocking 125 mph down the M5.
