I'm getting heartily sick of it all now and will try to stop myself getting wound up. Maybe it's just my age, but I really do think the world in general has gone to the dogs. Younger people seem to think it's a brave new world, so maybe they're right.

Some things in the past were pretty crappy... Single glazing, three day weeks, months without bin collections or electricity, British Leyland, slavery, smog, unemployment etc...

At least now we have double glazing and electricity... I used to think that New Zealand would be a good place to go to escape this ridiculous state of affairs, but now they have direct flights and internet, it is probably as ruined as everywhere else :'(

I think the only solution is to move somewhere red neck with a south facing garden and a west facing porch to watch the sunset from...

Totally agree , you & I are of a similar age & were probably raised with the same values if I played up I knew I would get a wallop I respected people in uniform and from a very early age  knew that I wanted to be in the armed services, when I see what is happening it angers me but as you say this is the future.

There will soon be a petition to canonise him. Yes, his death at the hands of the police was vile, but he i being now touted as a shining light to the BAME community. Sometimes makes me glad to be old and the putting up with all this shite will be shorter for me.  :) The man was a career criminal for Christs sake. Just heard that Gone with the Wind has been pulled in the US.  ;D
