Zaf B finished on 14 plate
There was then an early "C" version which had a sort of X front styling before they changed it to the common "C" variant styling
1.6 are not motorway cars as they have low gearing, 3000 rpm at 60 mph, heavy on fuel above those speeds
1.8 B,s are a bit better at 3000 for 65mph.
I used to avaerage 38 mpg in my 1.8

Why the hell do manufacturers put puny engines into bigger and bigger cars? Ford stick a 1 litre engine in a Mundano for gods sake.  ::)

All done to please the greens and get low emmissions rating
In the real world it is constantly being thrashed to an inch of its life to get anywhere
Then, after 60k miles, it neds a new engine
The focus 1.0 lasts 10k more before expiring

What for?

Uprated heads and cam and doing the upgraded timing chain, tesioner and oil pump while its out
LS7 clutch kit just ordered from Rock Auto.
I have AAS headers and 200 micron sports cats waiting to go on when it goes back in
Was hoping for about 100hp increase but since been told once the map has been done, it could be 130-140 increase
Bit to close to 500 so may have another big bill of 3k for the big brake kit
