It's the original clutch, so getting on for 11 years old.

If it's juddering then it may well have been contaminated by oil / coolant, or just excessively worn, but it'd be worth checking the condition of all the engine and gearbox mounts first just in case.

I'll have to check out the price of a new clutch fitted by Vx.

It's only a 1.2 Corsa so I can't see it being more than about £70-£90 all in.

I was going to say - if you look on ECP for an idea of clutch kit prices you'll barely get the clutch alone for that money..

LuK clutch kits ranged from £70 to £150ish, depending on contents (I think from bare 2-piece up to ones incl. throwout bearing, slave etc)..

All gears engage perfectly and silently. The clutch does not 'drag' when in gear.

Clutch judder is most apparent when the car moves off for the first time. Subsequent starts are much smoother and less jerky.

If you don't sort it quickly, you'd be better off spending your cash on a rubber laptop!

I have a Corsa 1.2 Twinport, had same issue clutch judder when cold, common fault and a new clutch will not fix the problem, just had mine replaced by my brother in law, its a pig of a job sub frame has to be come out, some Vauxhall dealers do a deal £500 all in. Mine was replaced because it had worn out, it had 66k miles on it mainly from previous owners.

As long as the judder disappears after a mile or two then thats fine, its caused by condensation on the plates. If you buy the clutch kit make sure its the 3 part and not the cheaper two part with out the bearing, or you will be doing it all over again.

My 56 plate Zafira had this problem, however, the problem was the flywheel, not the clutch. Vauxhall knew about this issue and Mark DTM sent me a TIS bulletin number to give to the dealer to get the flywheel replaced.
I never bothered though because, as with your corsa, it was only for the first few minutes each day.
If your clutch seems fine after the first few engagements, I would live with it. As has been said, it may just be condensation and it is not a cheap or easy job.

One good thing is the clutch is cheaper than the dreaded wet carpets from the brake servo seal, thats an all day job and dash out to do which even Vauxhall dealers don't want to quote for.

I must have fixed 4 of them, 1-2 hours....using my method!

I dont replace the panel.

I remove the trim around the wipers and scuttle cover, unbolt the master cylinder and move to one side, remove the brake servo.

Remove the throttle pedal and unbolt the pedal box.

The unbolt the leaky plate, you can then push it into the cabin by circa 20-30mm, clean it all up well with panel wipe or a good solvent.

Then apply a good polyurethane sealent around the edge of the lower half of the edge of the plate and bolt the plate back up, the sealent then oozes out and you can spread it across the remainder of the jointl to fully bridge the gap (its by now well sealed anyway).

Then refit said items.

I did the first one some 3-4 years ago, none have ever leaked since.

The fault with the plate is the seal/sealent used, the above method eratins the plate but fits a much more superior sealent (all be it a pain to use as its hard to remove from your clothes/skin)

Early Corsa D had an issue with the blend valve in the heater setup which required a dash removal, fixed within about 12-18 months of production start though.

Its a three to four hour job when done on the drive.

Then you need full clutch kit of a decent make (including salve), brake fluid and gearbox oil.

So got to be about 120-150 in bits alone.

Cant see when I would have the time to do it at the moment either

No worries......the judder is more of an inconvenience than a problem at the moment.
