enough
« on: 24 November 2015, 17:26:47 »

well, the omega 2.5 v6 auto estate is gone.
after spending all in all in 2 years 2k in it i decided to sell it because i needed a bigger car.
result nobody wanted it.
fact after standing up hill for 5 month not able to sell it after all work was done, for 500 quit i drove it out the garden, got it ready to bring it to an auction.
the engine seized after 3 miles.
what a luck.
4rd vauxhall third time a vehicle which cost more then enough and pack up anyway.

spendet another 40 to investigate and made my mind up.

scpped it. simple.

not one car in the last 15 years waas such a money pit.
and i talking loads of cars.
rovers, fords, pajeros, audis, bmws, volvos, even peugeots.

well gone now. and i dont thunk i buying another vauxhall again.lol  >:(

I've also sworn never to get another Vauxhall. Mostly because I don't generally like them.  So what do I currently own? 3 poxy Vauxhalls ;D

Engine seize would be very unlucky on a reasonably well looked after car...  ...I'd be asking questions of your local garage...

I guess I was just lucky with my 2.6 which I have just sold, had it five years with no repairs just service items replaced over 40,000 odd miles, the  2.2 estate which we sold in April was the exact opposite loads of parts replaced & never really performed well . Don't like any of the new Vauxhalls hence the purchase of the Merc , if I had a double garage I would probably have kept the Omega as well.

Was there any oil in it? My 94 2l PFL lasted me for seven years till the rusty doors and arches plus emissions finally made it nonviable to spend any more on it. Still ran and drove great though. :y

Must admit mines living on a knife edge.It has so far proved to be the most unreliable, expensive[per mile]to keep running car I've owned since I had a Mk1 Scirroco back in 1985!

It's all relative to your needs. I should have changed to Astra years ago for my 2500 miles a year to station and round town. As for 13/14 years ownership of one Omega it was not too bad financially especially when you find out the bills some have had on other makes which the owners keep quiet. I do not mess with cars anymore so glad to have one which you just turn key and drive.

well space wise, its a ford galaxy now. defo bigger.
not sure f i stick to it.
not as comfy as expected. dont like the high seat position. lol

but the space is nice.
towing no problem.
all the elctrics like the omega and all works. parts very cheap.
but thinking of not doing anything on it just drive and sell on for a newer modell next year.
