Omega tyres: what's the cheapest?
« on: 25 November 2015, 18:22:50 »

Can't quite believe I'm starting a tyre thread  :-[ :-[ :-[

But, cheapest I've found is £33+VAT at local tyre shop. ''Mytyres'' can't better that. Anywhere else online I can buy? I've tried Blackcircles also but no joy.

Just want a couple of ditch-finders to cover me until I'm a millionaire next summer (or by the time I've managed to save some dough :)

You're taking your life in your hands at £33, I certainly wouldn't try cheaper. Omegas and wet weather or snow or ice do not mix well, and winter is upon us.

Silly bear.  :-X

Not trying to argue but I've only ever had budget tyres fitted t'omega and never had an issue in wet weather. Re the snow I avoid driving in it as, if needed, I can walk to work  :y

Speaking of tyres, the 2.2 needs a set of boots soon. I really like the Kumho KU31's on there now, but I know some here are not keen  ::)

Found some online, £59 a corner delivered.

Anyone had experience of these people?

Good stuff mate  :y

Yeah, this was through work at a local tyre supplier. However, theyre not trade so to speak...we get them at the same price any joe blogs would if they called. I presume they make their money on the fitting  :-\

but in these times of saving for accelerometers financially testing times I wondered if they could be sought for cheaper.

thinking about it that's cheap enough one supposes  :y
