O.K if it turns out to be the crankshaft sensor then I guess it's quicker to take it off BUT my local VX stealer wont have one as they always say 'dont get asked much for Omega parts now, so it's got to go on order' So if anyone can recommend a supplier then would apreciate a heads up :y

AndyC   at Bury St. Edmunds , Ken . great price , Very  Fast service although it is by post .  Top bloke . totally recommended by me for whats thats worth   ;D ;D

Ring him at 9am ,   bet he'll have it in the post by lunchtime . Never had to wait more that a day or two for the stuff he's sent me.

You'll have it by Thursday at the latest .  Could always ask him to "special" it  Guaranteed next day delivery   . . . but about a tenner

extra I would think  :-\ :-\

You should be able to, if you can get it ordered tomorrow, as it's only 15 mins or so to change over :y

Of course, that is assuming it is the Crank Sensor ;)

Crank sensor on a V6 can, and has many times, be done at the side of the road ;)

Might be worth dropping Chris a PM if you really don't feel up to doing it ;)

Or in a cold, dark NEC carpark after Mrs TB has managed to run over my towpole, meaning I had to fix the car ;D

That Reading dealer is a waist of space, tyre Bracknell perhaps? Although they will probably need to order it anyway at a guess.

Shout if you get stuck.
