Thanks ;D
Gives me much motivation to work on :)
Still lots to do with the car before i'm pleased, refurbished engine going in this spring, ported heads, 4 bar fuel pressure, headers, C20LET flywheel, iridium sparkplugs, lightweight alloy pulley and maybe a new set of cams.
Heres a picture before it was lowered, and one of the new engine:

Very nice, I think the wheels suit it. I had an elite estate like that, everyone thought it was blue but it was actually Magic Grey.

I do like the dish on those wheels.  :y

Thanks ;D

I really like the color, but if you look on the "before" pic you can see the car is much more grey from bottom of the windows and down, thats because somebody had done a bad paintjob earlier

Thanks to you RobseyMV6 it is now a full kit! :y

Heres some pics of my porting job for the new engine:

Thanks, have finnaly got some motivation to work on the car lately
Yes i've changed it into a manual, with help from some good friends

And yes those are original early recaro seats

Got the heads back from the workshop skimmed and cleaned, now it time for reassembly, had to grind the exhaust valves.
First head is nearly done only need to fit 6 lifters, but theres no hurry as i'm waiting for some ARP bolts. (It's possibe the car will be supercharged)

The engine is starting to come back together  :)
I have ported the heads as shown and fitted sport camshafts  :D
Can't wait to get it running in the car and see what gains there are, had the car on a dyno last fall and got 200whp, wonder what i'll get this summer with this refurbished engine (last one had bad compression on one cylinder)

Last time i checked my steering wheel was on the correct side  :D
Its really starting to come together now, i'm hoping to have the car running by april
Had a good cleanup in the garage yesterday, got rid of alot of garbage, so now I can get something done this weekend

Running by april was too optimistic, but have done quite a bit since then
Due to some wrong parts, I didn't manage to get the engine in until yesterday
But now it's just a matter of fitting the remaining parts except for the inlet parts, which are getting some work aswell ::)
Can't wait to get it on the road, as it's been in the garage all winter :D

And lastly a bad phone picture of how far I got today

Love it. Wish I had the time money and equipment to do this to mine. Are you going to be running a supercharger? This is something I would like to see. Very interested in getting more power out of mine. I now have another car so my mv6 can go into storage for a while and hopefully I can do some work on it. Keep up the good work and keep posting more pics of you progress. :y

Thanks guys  :D
I was nearly done in the engine bay when I noticed a water leak from the left radiator hose, and when i pulled that off i found out something is wrong with the thermostat as it letting water through, so i just purchased new parts which i'm expecting tomorrow  :(

MV6Danny:
I have a hope of fitting a supercharger, but it's all about the money, if i get the money to next summer i will definitely buy a kit
Can't wait to see the results from the tuning on the dyno, i will keep posting pics  ;)

Thanks guys  :D
A video of the first startup is a bit late, I did the startup today  :)
It started out very noisy on the lifters, but that calmed down a bit
After a while it made a worrying sound from the bottom end, although it could be something loose somewhere, not sure yet
Had a 20 min run at 1500-2000rpm and no major leaks or anything like that, just a very tiny leak from the left side (1 drop of water) I just tightened the jubilee clip and hope for the best  :P

The rx7 in the background belongs to my brother

A little update

The engine left a worrying amount of metal shavings in the sump, so it's taken out for a rebuild in the future. :-\ (was actually taken out last year, just after 2000 KM)
That means the old engine is put back in (a stock engine, but wont be for much longer  ;))
