try disconnecting the MAF connector and see if the revs drop? If not it will point to the MAF at fault. Mine did exactly the same, and once a replacement MAF was fitted the problem has since gone.

No this only comes on when attempting to pull of in D as the revs rise.
All the selector lights are okay, i suspect it to be the fluid just dont have the tools etc to get under and resolve it.

hi

I have had this problem for a while and want some more advis please.
When pulling away in D the auto gearbox message comes on the display.
If i manually do this in 2 or 3rd it will pull away slowly as expected. Does this point to a fault selector sensor, low auto fluid, or dis pack problem?

I have checked all sensors are connected, fuses etc, would the auto ecu also cause this issue.

paperclip test shows only 12 and 31 so nothing reported.

ok, i have noticed that when depressig the brake or releasing it i used to get a click from the gear selector as normal. However i have noticed this no longer happens, does this point to the selector switch at fault?

Is the drain plug on the underside or top of the gearbox? I guess what i am asking is this, if the plug is at the bottom, wont the fluid just drain out straight away, before trying to top up????

Or am i missing something here...all advise much appreciated as i would like to crack on with this tomorrow whilst the weather is ok.
