Whatever the story it's a very sad tale, that's for sure.  :'(   I hope and pray that this exposure will take her back to where she belongs!!  :-\

Such a sad story but it will give much hope to the McCanns about there daughters disappearance and the hope and belief that she will be found.

Pikey of East European extraction - originally Romanian (ish), people thought they were Egyptian - hence Gyptian>Gypsy.

As opposed to itinerant Irish road menders.

I often hear this word on here, it's meaning is simply "man" . They call themself Gipsy but if you also tried to call them "Gipsy" it counts already political incorrectness.

Just wait until the end of this year when the restrictions on Romanians and Bulgarians entering the U.K. are
lifted. We will find out then. A lot of the shop-lifting gangs in London and elsewhere are from this area.

Romania is a neighbour country and we are often facing with begging children on the streets of Budapest. They knew some hun words off and could start begging at once. Remember to make difference between Romanian, Bulgarian or whatever people from Europe and gipsies as they are not the same kind. People are educated, living as standard to the Gipsy who has definiately other life related points of view. A former discussion about the theme :

On my trips into the foreign, one notices, camps or what ever they call them, lots of vehicles with various national plates, lots of emerald ones, they are all intertwined somewere be it marriage or whatever. And they are involved in lots of things from cars to people smuggling.
but didn't matter what they are called, roma, gypsiy, pickey, travellers, tinkers they are still all the same.
