2.0 Ecotec rocker cover gasket.
« on: 24 August 2006, 11:25:52 »

I have changed my rocker cover gasket three times and the dam thing still leeks. Is there any sealant i can use to help it?

I think the breather pipes need cleaning so that my job for the weekend and it should help it a little.

Hi there

This is one of things I think needs redoing, as mine has a leak but I think its from the front behind the Cams

This thread gives you the part number for the sealant

Good Luck with it  :)

Its the breatehrs that are the problem....the oil will find the weakest seal if the system is pressurised and that will be the cam cover gasket.....be thankful as if it was sealed better it would probably be the crank seal...or worse!

This is more than likely my problem only I think the flame trap is gunked up along with the rear breather pipe.
