If promoting other clubs is frowned upon here then please feel free to delete this reply!!

If you have a 6 cylinder Omega, (and judging by your avatar, you have.), then spend £20 and join the Autobahnstormers.

They're not hugely geared up to cater for Omegas they're more enthusiastic about straight six Vx's, but trade club membership is included in the subscription.

You'll redeem the £20 on your first oil change!!  8-)

The other place to join is MIGWeb.

Sign up, pay £15 and (eventually) get a membership card. You can then access the MIG Web trade club account at most dealers. To be honest it's a bit hit and miss and I had to set up the account in Bristol, but it does save you money.

"The VBOA is the official Vauxhall Motors recognised coordinating body for clubs catering for owners and enthusiasts of Vauxhall, Bedford and Opel vehicles in the UK and for Vauxhall and Bedford vehicles overseas."

They've negotiated a deal with Vauxhall for trade club membership - so join one of the eligible clubs and you get Vx trade club membership. However, this is for personal use only - if it get's abused (eg by someone clearly using their membership to buy for others) then it's likely to be withdrawn for ALL the clubs in VBOA (and their respective members), so it is to be used in moderation. Apparently even though this was publicised in an internal newsletter, not all dealerships recognise this arrangement exists  :'(

The list of eligible clubs you can join is here: http://www.vboa.org.uk/toplevel.php?p=d

From the sound of this it may be prudent for me to renew my Autobahnstormers membership then....the one I allowed to lapse after I gave up my Senator owning days ;)

depends on what you're after out of club membership - but Autobahnstormers is £20 a year, MIGWeb is £15 - both get you trade club membership.

I thought it was best to post the link to the entire list of clubs, so people can make their own selection ...

The trade club ID for mig is "Mig Performance Vauxhall"
I think that sounds reasonably impressive.

All that stuff, blah blah... or just ask one of the guys on here who has trade club to get the stuff for you or let you use their card. Much easier.

Here is a new thread coming up. All trade club oiwners.....

I don't think that would be wise on the part of the card holders Fin'. As I posted before, although I wouldn't mind the odd bits and pieces, I'd be hesitant to use it for lots of stuff for 'mates'. I think that could be termed as abuse and my membership may be affected.

Let's face it, £20, (I think it might be £22 actually!), is a small price to pay for the ammount of discount you can get. I saved more than that the first oil change I did.

You don't have to have a 6 cylinder Vx to join ABS, but it helps.

I'm lost on what the problem is here.

Surely a trade card is expected to be used quite often to reflect that you are in the trade and buying bits on a regular basis.

Am I missing the point? :-?

Well, some clubs negotiated membership in the tradeclub scheme.

If all the club members use the one account, then it'll show as being used quite frequently I would imagine.
