ELITE DIS PACK
« on: 19 July 2006, 10:44:05 »

Like the new site congrats to you all for setting it up.

I have a rather strange problem on a 94 m reg elite in that when pulling away and turning the steering eg. pulling out of a junction the engine appears to hold back, like its not firing on all cylinders. If i take my foot off the accelerator and plant it back down its fine similary on the straight its fine.
I am suspecting the dis pack or leads are slowly breaking down any ideas

I had a similar problem with mine, when setting off or acelerating the engine seemed to stutter/misfire. I was also suspicious of the leads and the dis pack, I changed the plugs first though as this was the cheapest option and all seems ok now. Having said all that I am still a bit wary as wether I may have something just starting to break down and the new plugs are masking that for the moment.

Ha Ha is that what the smoke is!!

Replaced dis pack and leads seems to have cured all my woes!!

The dis pack had cracked across the bottom big time i was surprised it ran so well!

Just got to sort the whistle and overhaul the handbrake

Thanks Ric

Nice one - and it's good to know what resolved the problem.
