Hazard Light Button's Light is on
« on: 02 December 2019, 16:00:43 »

Should this bulb in button light althouh hazard lights are not on? When I press the button hazard lights start to blink and button bulp, too. When I put hazard lights off they go off but button bulp remains on (not blinking anymore) perhaps 50% of intensity, never seen this before, what is going on?

Ignition on or off?

Should be illuminated with side lights, but don't forget your car should have daytime running lights... So hazard switch is probably illuminated all the time.

So would suggest normal behaviour that you haven't noticed before  ;)

Thanks DG, yes only when ign. on. And yes I have that daylight system I mean there is a relay which puts always the lights on after started although light switch is off. Relay also controls the dash back lights etc. Don't remember it illuminated earlier but might be.

As mine doesn't have drls the switch only lights up when the lights are turned on,does the same in my Volvos I believe it's done so the hazard switch is easily identified in case of an emergency at night.
