Hi guys :)
Saw a thread on here not so long back debating lowering a facelift - does anyone have a recommended brand/supplier please?
Will be leaving OE shocks in place as they are quite new - looking for a respectable drop but nothing insane (30-50mm should do the job)
What are people's experiences with lowering please?
Looking to kill off some of that roll (which is actually quite good considering speed x mass!), but having had spinal surgery not so long back and having suffered an overlowered Maestro Turbo and a badly lowered 620ti would like to keep some smoothness to the whole affair.
Is there anything I should lookout for please? Guess facelift is different to pre, and that MV6 and Elite are not the same? (Estate and Saloon certainly cannot be?)
Ideas on a postcard please
Cheers
Alex :D

Without appearing rude ... may I refer you to this (top of every page anyway)

3rd line from the bottom ??
If someone knows they'll answer .. no need to bump .. :y :y

Its a tough one, your MV6 is already lowered my 30mm.
What shocks were used, the OEM sports ones for the facelift?
A resonable setup is irmscher springs with bilstein OEM shocks, you cna use the Bilstein sports shocks but the ride then starts to firm up quite a bit.

Should have said, think its a fair bump in this case as the thread had drifted well off the bottom of the page :y

Cheers to you both - I did think a few times about bumping or not bumping but the forum was 101% active when I posted and it disappeared rather rapidly :)
The car is 100% original in suspension terms - will the Irmscher springs stop the wingmirrors scraping the road on roundabouts? ;D
Where could I obtain these and Bilstein shocks please? Any reputable suppliers or just check the usuals like MotorSportsWorld / DemonTweeks / LarkSpeed etc.?
I promise this is the last question I will ask today ;) :y

The irmscher springs are getting hard to source so that will require some searching.
The Bilstein OEM shocks are availbel from Balance Motor Sport at a good price, beware though that these shocks will only support a drop of 30mm max if you end up sourcing alternative springs to the irmscher ones.

Quality info Mark many thanks indeed Sir 8-) :y
Let the searching commence!

Bugger - Irmscher's own site says "Not for MV6 models in UK"
What the hell is that about! ;D
OE Spec Bilstein's - can do (and decent price). Thanks for the heads-up on Balance Motorsport.
A bit lost on the springs now - Eibach have a kit but its for 94 onwards saloon + estate and not sure I like the idea of one-kit-for-all (-30mm)
Any other suggestions greatfully received - it's just the roll I am trying to kill off really the appearance is already pretty nice :D
Thanks again for reading
