As title, selling the wheels I had fully refurbished (stripped back to alloy and powder coated) in January 2019.

Wheels are finished in dark shadow chrome and fitted with new Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 235/45/17 tyres which have only covered about 200 miles - the Hankook logo is still visible on the centre band.

There is a also fifth matching spare rim with no tyre fitted.

Refurb cost £300, tyres were £270, will accept £400 to get them out of my way.  Collection from FK10 3DT, Alloa, Central Scotland.

If my memory serves, I'm sure OOF wisdom said that Reinz were the Vx OEM suppliers?

As above, they were the only manufacture of the Senator 6 pot gasket. I had a conversation with a local engine rebuild place who couldn't believe the head gasket alone was £60 and he'd get one cheaper. He phoned me back later & admitted that Vx/Reinz was the only gasket available.

Yep, Victor Reinz are the OEM supplier for all the engine seals.  Most of the cam cover seals I've bought from the dealer have had "Victor Reinz" embossed on the half-moon section.

Many engine builders won't use anything else.

Best to take the old ones to your nearest fastener supplier and get stainless steel replacements - they'll cost a fraction of what you'll pay the dealer and far better quality.

BTW, all the genuine VX ones I've ever bought were branded Reinz.  Pretty sure they make the majority of OEM gaskets and seals for GM.

For Sale: Diff and driveshafts from 3L V6 3.7:1 ratio, less than 90k no noise or whine.  Removed from a '96 manual Elite.

£75 collected from FK10 Scotland, can probably post for around £30 extra.

Can mail photos if required (it looks like any other Omega diff)

I realise this is an old thread but info only, it looks like Jetex is stopping its Omega exhaust - saloon not available, maybe limited estate sets left

They will do a production run if you can get 10 or more confirmed buyers, speak to Neil @ Jetex.  Have done this a couple of times including a batch for 3L 24v Carlton GSi.

The Jetex system on my Omega is over 10 yrs old, still looks and sounds as good as new

After many years of membership I didn't renew last year as my dealer does trade prices regardless of ABS membership. 

Ditto - and even before that, there was only one guy who knew how to put through cash transactions against a trade account.

Fitted new timing chain tensioner to the M5 - no more chain slap on cold mornings, glad I caught that one quickly!

Fresh oil and filter for Mrs SJC's Astra, such an easy job when there's no engine tray to navigate and the filter can be reached from above.

Omega - need to source a driver's door handle since the bezel round the lock barrel has broken up so I've used a bit of blu-tac to plug the gap and a will give her a quick wash so she doesn't feel neglected

When I press the pedal smoothly the movement is quite long and I have a feeling of bad brakes. When I quickly release pedal and make another press the movement is much shorter and brakes are much more powerful. like the assistant worked more effectively in the first centimeters of the movement.

new discs, pads and a flush of the brake fluid should fix that

This. But only if you press the pistons home with the bleed nipples open before you bleed the fluid. Otherwise you retain enough dead fluid to make a noticeable negative difference

BTW, if buying GM pads, 9192124 are the crap "Aftermarket Specification", always try to get the OE pads 9195077
