the back end of my facelift elite sits a tad high or the fronts too low lol, i was speaking to a mechanic today and he said there is some sort of thing that sits on the front wishbones or there abouts which tells the car how its sitting on the road and thats what makes the suspension go up/down, is this right or not, is there away of getting the back of the car lower

Well, he was close. The sensor is on the rear subframe just by the diff.

Worth checking it's still intact and connected to the rear trailing arm.

It's possible that the relief valve that lowers the air pressure in the shocks has failed. This is located by the pump, under the front offside wing.

when i first start the car you can hear the pump kick in and then go off, is something supposed to happen when the headlights get turned on aswell. he said the lights should go up or down with the hight of the car

It's normal to hear the pump when switching on the ignition.

Headlamps also level themselves if HIDs but this is a completely separate system so I wouldn't expect the levelling pump to activate in this instance.
