I do like the wheels and guess they may be an upgrade.

Twenty inches?

yup .. and according to the paperwork they cost the purchaser a cool £2,445.00 (inc VAT) !!

Base spec of the car was £44.525 (inc VAT) but with all the "extras" stipulated it came to  £56,530.00 (inv VAT)  !!!!!!!!

so I think I got a reasonable deal comparing to Autotrader/ebay/Motors/Parkers/Lookers/Gumtree and everywhere else I looked and compared !!!

Does need a set of tyres VERY soon (bartering point made) presently has "run flats" ... not sure I'll go that way...   :-\

Sorry to hear of your fall Nige, hope you are on the mend.

As for the new car, very nice.  :y  I've had quite a few 3.0d's (albeit bmw) and they have some serious torque, both solo and towing. For such a quick car I've always been more than happy with the mpg, although the All Wheel Drive (XDrive in my case) has had quite a significant hit on mpg.
In my view, you have a quick car that still gives decent mpg so I'd be more than happy with it.  :y

Hope it serves you well.  :y

Spare wheel options as well... You don't want to fill all that extra space with an extra spare ;)

With regard to new 20 inch boots.

I went for Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. They are superb. Longevity is excellent as is both wet and dry grip. Quiet too.

They are expensive but shopping around makes a huge difference.

Check out the independent tyre reviews..... :y

Surely the 20" wheels are already a mod?

Seems I was not told the truth .. it does NOT have runflats at present, and the paperwork has no mention of runflats .... but previous owner said it did ....

It has a spare of sorts ... weird looking collapsable thing that comes with a compressor :(

Tyres are looking about £200 ish a corner ... trying to choose between Continental ContiSportContact / Michelin PS4 /Pirelli P Zero / Goodyear Eagle F Assym 3

Being a Quattro, it probably requires that all four are changed at the same time  ;)

As for the spare... https://youtu.be/GjFnCOI7NUQ at least it has one :y

Would it be a good idea to periodically inflate/deflate those collapsable spares to keep the rubber supple?  :-\
