I almost fell asleep regularly at my SAC. The bloke who did most of the talking is a driving instructor, and spent 'most' of the course talking about himself... Yeah! Well worth £90 x 20 on the course = £1,800..

Although I may well be buying a 4.4 v8 soon. Even the 4000 miles a year it will cover, will hurt the wallet a bit.
My 4.3 V8 doesn't use a lot more than my ex 3.2 miggy..???

General Discussion Area / Re: Cyclists . .what is the law?
« on: 12 March 2016, 10:58:04 »
I am totally fed up with the amount of money spent and the amount of road space taken for cycle lanes that the majority of cyclists don't bother using, preferring to cycle on the path. Plus how these days pedestrian crossings have become cyclist crossings? As cyclists once mobile are supposed to adhere to the rules of the road as much as any motorist, perhaps I should try driving crossways across a pedestrian crossing. Wonder how many times plod would allow me to get away with that? As for those lycra clad 'tour de france' wannabe's, that can be found on Sundays on narrow rural roads riding 2 or 3 abreast chatting happily. 'Well' !..................

Before we moved, Sainsbury's in Bedford used to send out store security to police the disabled spaces. Now, my local supermarket that also has green in its livery but only 4 letters in its name, has just resurfaced the whole car park, reducing the size of the disabled spaces just to get 'one' or 'two' more spaces? As for the store security, you need a scalpel to get their ar*es off the chair at the entrance? I understand whether on public or private land, there are dimensions laid down for disabled spaces.

Always brings a tear to my eye when one of the old girls goes over.

"YEAH. YEAH. YEAH" ! I have my blue badge and use it every day. Outwardly I guess I look quite mobile, only having suffered 2 strokes, a slight limp and having emphysema. I often have to walk farther than I would like due to, 20 year olds who 'must' park as close as possible to the shop. Do not attempt to remonstrate with these people for fear of a 'mouthful' of abuse.

Quick stop at Cobham services on Sunday night around 10pm. So many complaints about getting out of the car park there, but. None that night, not from the blokes anyway as. We all had to wait as 'FORTY' Skyline GTR's all pulled out in convoy. Every one of them hitting the 'loud pedal' as they hit the straight bit... What music! Roars from the 2 foot diameter exhausts, twitters from the turbo's, smoke from the tyres... 'Heaven'! had to rush back to the motorway to hear them all 'gun' their motors. 'Total jealousy'....  :y :y :y

The fact that men as young as those convicted having been doing this for a while is a shameful reflection of modern society. 'Crikey'! Reflection of modern society. That is a topic that could run and run and run..... :o
