Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Bose set up.
« on: 17 September 2008, 08:32:51 »
I have 3 or 4 sets of speakers and 2 or 3 amps here, could have sent you it with your other stuff lol

Not 100% sure but I think that the CCRT700 can be set to Bose or not as you say using Tech2 so yeah think you would be able to use the current loom as presumably its already there for Bose set up if needed...so amp and speakers (again assuming the loom is there) plus the shelf of course!!

Wow that really took its time!!! Sent it before my daughter was born I think?? She is 9 weeks old now!!

It arrived ok then mate? :y

Didnt know you could reprogram old keys was imagining using new anyway...still a shed load cheaper than getting a replacement spare from Vaux :y

Yeah it says I'm using key 2 and I dont have key 1 so want to get it sorted just to be on the safe side

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Key Reprogramming
« on: 20 April 2009, 17:36:44 »
My "My Naff Code Reader" can reprogram the entire system now it seems...just need to get my car pass from Vaux and away I go...

So how do I go about this?? Get a key and have it cut the same as the existing one...and put the blank key chip in the key...put it in the ignition barrel and code the new chip??...what about the central locking circuitry??

Is it really that easy?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: MAF Sensor??
« on: 18 April 2009, 17:28:04 »
Ok MAF changed and "My Naff Code Reader" software and firmware upgraded...

MAF repoting 74 High Voltage not present...whats the normal cause of this??

Have reset code not sure if from old MAF and new software now seeing it or replacement MAF faulty or just plug/wiring issues and MAF is ok??

Car now accelerates really well when cold or in neutral but misses a little when up to temp...

Had a check no misfiring at all when in neutral...only when accelerating in gear...still thinking MAF will be able to sort out a replacement soon I reckon so we will see  :y

Although I have a 3.0 v6 so not sure whether it would be different to the 2.2 or not anyway??

Have you got a similar reading after the MAF was sorted? :y Totally new to the "My Naff Code Reader" so nice to know what 'normal' is :)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / MAF Sensor??
« on: 01 April 2009, 13:44:00 »
Ok I have got the "My Naff Code Reader" working...great bit of kit...reset the non present airbag fault code and thus the warning light as well as an old code relating to the sunroof! :y

So also had a look at the live data for the engine...11.3v battery with engine off 14.3 or summat with it running which seemed about right and suggests the fix I did to the alternator has fixed it :y

So the engine has a running issue, when accelerating harder it not somuch misfires as just loses its kick here and there, no real pattern to it really...your pulling nicely then its accelerating but no real kick then the kick kicks back...think its the MAF

Would this be pretty much confirmed by the voltage reading for the MAF reading just 1.1v on the "My Naff Code Reader"??

Wow not ever looked in the light servos...interesting pic...goodjob well done mate, really nice piece of investigation :y

when I spoke to vauxhall they said different. But that could be a money thing. It costs £100 more if you buy new for the ccr 2006 b than cdr 2006. If you have an answer to this or know someone who does this would be great. One thing I do know is that I need to change my head unit from cdr 2005.
Might just be a simple case of the CCR2006 being none bose configured from the box while the CCR2006b is Bose configured from the box although both can be set either way via tech2...just easier to have different part numbers so you know either way what you started with and easier for Vaux to select what you need if you buy new  :y I'm 99% certain a CCR2006 thats not set up for Bose can be Bose configured via Tech2 and will work fine (but then of course you have to pay for the Tech2 session) :y

As all the CCR2006 head units are configurable for Bose I very much doubt the head units are actually different at all, just part numbered for Bose set on or off

119
AFAIK a Bose configured head unit can still run standard speakers but to get the full use of the system you will need to install Bose speakers the Bose amp and the Bose sub...if you have the wiring installed and your head unit has already been set up for Bose then your more than half the way there!  :y Sub as said will be in the passengers side back cubby hole if its there...amp will be in the drivers side back cubby hole if its there...if you take a door card off then the Bose speakers are distinctly different to the standard ones...

As it happens I have 4 Bose speakers, an estate sub and an amp sat here...if you want/need them then let me know  :y
