inside a 2.5td fuel pump throttle control
« on: 18 September 2010, 17:08:11 »

can mod move to how to if this is ok
The picture below shows the throttle body split from the main pump.
the RED arrow is the throttle control
the GREEN arrow is the the bit that is turned by the solinoid to rev the engine.
the YELLOW arrow is the fuel cut off solinoid

the RED arrow is the bleed screw.
the GREEN arrow is where the throttle control goes into the pump.
the BLUE is the fuel return port.

this is the top plate removed on the pump throttle body revealing the throttle workings.

below is how the control wires are attached to the throttle body.these 7 wires are soldered to the throttle mechanism

to remove the mechanism first remove the 7mm nuts and the screw on top of the throttle arm then un-solder wires and the unit lifts out to reveal the coil.
just flush this out with clean diesel then rebuild.

the only thing that is not shown is the fuel qauntity sensor on the bottom  of the pump this part just unscrews like the stop solinoid
