v6-x20xev transplant
« on: 12 September 2017, 06:49:36 »

Hi!

I've came across a very mint omega v6, in terms of interior and bodywork, but with knackered engine. I'm interested in gettinig back on road, but with X20XEV engine, as it would be daily runner, and want it to be easy for maintainance.

I know in general what would I need (engine with loom and all the coolant hoses, ECU+immobiliser, gearbox, propshaft, diff, exhaust) but need definite info, a sort of shopping list, to be sure I didn't forget something. Are the subframes different?

TIA

Not worth it - my opinion only. I had one before, sold it after HG failed. It never ran again after next owner tried to fix it. Why not buying good X25XE engine? MPG is the same, only thing that is different is as you said maintenance work. But when you have engine out you can replace alternator and starter motor which are in akward places.
Just found one close enough...rottten as hell, no MOT but running engine and a lot of parts...and LPG
