Pre facelift Omega MV6 back from bodywork
« on: 12 February 2021, 20:44:29 »

Just got my MK1 Omega MV6 back from paint shop today.

Tidied arches, rear door shut panels and door bottoms.

20 yrs of colour Champagne hard to match but I’m pleased enough.

At 56k miles, leather, CRT700 head set and full paperwork it was worth doing 😊

Does anyone know where you can get the black arch transfers/stickers from?

If you search for 'stone chip protection film' you should be able to find some suitable film that can be cut to replace the original.  :y

Be good to see some pictures of the work completed  :)

Don't forget the clear strips that go further up the rear arch by the door latch ;)

Thanks for those suggestions - I’ll investigate the “films”

Not sure how to put up pics on here. Other forums I’m on you can just add images off your photo library but I think I need photobucket for this forum 🤷🏼‍♂️

The Carlton mk3 models had a similar looking strip and you could buy it from the dealers as a proper piece. Same as the omega no doubt if someone has a part number or you can buy rolls or sheets of self adhesive vinyl and cut to chape.
Or if you are neat with the masking tape you could use the black textured thick spray paint designed for plastic bumpers ?

Need to use a hosting site to upload pics from. I use Postimage.

I've most of a large sheet of 'carbon fibre' vinyl wrap that's going spare. It won't look too out of place, and if you figure out how much(little ::) ) you'll need I'll send you some. PM me.

Thanks

Are those part numbers current ? I could try Vauxhall next week

Doubt they’ll be listed though 🤔

I’ll get some measurements of what I need 👍

Apparently one of the foils is NLS but you never know :y

The part numbers are the most current I could find, but should link forward if they have subsequently changed  ;)
