Bloody hell. Part of reason I bought the XJ was to not get drawn in to childish encounters.

But a 7 series clearly fancied his chances, and needed teaching a lesson about making progress around the lanes. Dynamic on, Sport on, Flappy paddles on. The old style TB enabled. Job done.

Can't you just put you clog down any more? ::)
Oh yes, but if you're setting yourself up to educate somebody, makes sense to be prepared ::)

Looks like they used the S.D + F.B.H method

Screw driver + F**king Big Hammer

is it fuel pump / sender unit ?

I've not had a volvo since the old 340 saloon  8)

Im inclined to agree, whatever they did, it certainly lacked finesse.  ::)

I *think* it's the sender for the fuel gauge and a lift pump. Iirc these are a saddle tank and there's an internal pump to balance the two halves of the saddle.

Up to now I've not had cause to look at it, and had I not brimmed the tank (as many people don't) I may never have known about their fack-up

Don't know what model of Volvo you have but my V70 certainly has a saddle tank with a balancing pump.Anyway went to lock up straight from work and checked all nuts/bolts for being tight re-fitted inlet manifold and re-filled cooling system,no leaks to that point :y Then realised I'd forgotten to bring the key for it with me so I couldn't run it to bleed the system or check for any leaks when under pressure :-[ :-[ Ah well quick job[hopefully]for tomorrow.

Failed to actually sell it... That's to say the oppsing ladybitsing Onanist who won it has, unsurprisingly, failed to turn up for it/say they have changed their minds >:(

Had the same problem the first time i sold my Carlton.
then re-listed it (which i had to pay fees on again) and had loads of interest ,messages, offers
weeks after it had gone on it's way to Ireland ,I had a message "still for sale ?"
ebay gives your car sale a big audience
unfortunately ,some of that audience are thick, ignorant tw@ messers

O got eff all response from ebay when I was selling my last Omega. Decided to give Gumtree a try. A bloke called me, asked for details, turned up an hour later, paid me cash and drove it away.

Oh yes.  ;D

As soon as I have the car back, then we can start talking about getting the 3ft diesel stain off my drive. idiots. That will be a conversation for UKI however (an old adversary of mine) as I have no contractual relationship with Greenflag, they are merely UKI's agent who administer all my insurances that come as part of my bank account.  ::)

Never mind Jimmy, I'm sure that the Estate Agents will add it to their particulars as having the recently added benefit of recently installed driveway art!  :y

Had rear tyres of 3.2 checked at Costco, wanted a second opinion as starting to get low. All good though, 4mm left and wearing evenly.
