Breaking 3.2 Elite (old thread timed out).
« on: 21 August 2013, 01:26:48 »

Its been over a month,so the original thread timed out.Plenty of parts left,so I though it worthwhile starting a new thread. Afaik its fine by admins and within guidelines, but if Im wrong please let me know. :y

Car is a silver (z157) 3.2 elite. Since the original thread Ive replaced the engine oil cooler with a known good one, obvously using new genuine dowty washers, oil cooler O-rings, banjo bolt washers and the proper VX grey sealant.
The engine was supposedly sold and the buyer was supposed to collect two days ago but didn't turn up.
Engine has covered 129,000 miles and ran nicely.
It has now been removed from the car. Asking price is £200.

AR35 autobox. Works fine.removed from car, ready to collect. £70.
Black leather seats, all functions including heaters working - £70. (will definitely upload pics tomorrow).
Boot spoiler £35 (comes with free bootlid if collected).
Front doors - £20 each.
A change of plan has meant the Bose components are available again - Amp - £25, loom - £20, shelf speakers - £20, rear door speakers - £10 pair, front door speakers - £15.
Lots of other smaller parts - feel free to enquire for prices.
Prices don't include postage. Im open to sensible offers on parts.
This link to the original thread will give some idea of the parts that have been sold, and may save people asking for them again.

I don't have cambelt history for the engine,so would recommend it being changed immediately. :y

IMHO, as long as its not to the detriment of other sellers (eg, hogging the section, or trying to bump others down), I see no issue.

Interior pics. A little wear,as can be seen in the pics. Also a few "dents" in the leather. This is where I have  had parts sat on the seats.Imo,these will probably return to normal in time, once they have been sat on and used for a while.

Drivers seat

Passenger seat.

Wear on upper bolster.

Rear seats.

With their 6 inch white stilletto heels, I suspect the leather would end up in a far worse state Chris!  Not to mention the head lining!!  ;)

Right then.I want to get rid off this car of my drive soon,so need some bigger parts gone, particularily the interior,so.....

Black leather elite seats with memory and heaters £50 - if no one wants them at that price they will get weighed in with the car, which would be a real shame. Collection only.Pics on page 1.

AR35 autobox.129,000 miles,works fine - £50.

Boot spoiler - £30. Iirc, there are one or two small marks/ scratches on the paint.

Bose amp, loom and 6 speakers - £50 the lot. Will split them up on request

Headlamp washer kit - washers, reservoir, loom and anything else needed for the conversion - £25.

Brake calipers - £10 each.

ABS ECU - £30

PAS pump - £20

Still got the engine.  ::)

Plenty of other parts still available. Feel free to ask for anything you need.  :)

Can't believe the seats haven't been snapped up by now  ???

If possible, I would like the speakers - I think one of mine has blown. No rush though, and happy to wait in case someone wants the whole Bose setup  :y

I may have asked before, I can't remember, whats the gear lever surround like? I think you have to take the whole selector out to remove it.

Specifically after the rubber coated trim in good condition.

Is the fitment the same? Do you think the wires could be extended with a little soldering? Or too well insulated?

Looks the same apart from the shorter wire.I don't see why the wire couldn't be joined/extended/soldered,but then again I know next to nothing about electrickery. Might be best to seek advice from someone who knows about such things before diving in ?

Ah, it's not diving in as such, if it goes wrong, it's only half hour of my time and a few quid, it wouldn't cause any harm

Do you have a paypal addy? I'll take it off you, if that's ok? :) :y
