Sorted :)

Purchaced from flea bay ajustable bee sting, little tacky but has done the job. only just clears the spoiler by 5mm, gave it several cotes of lacquer to stop it rusting . Many thanks for your help guys. :)

There is a "mod" in the form of a ball with a small threaded insert
Designed and made/marketed by Prodrive (the spoiler maker) which allows the aerial mast to locate vertical

Ive found this to work a treat at avioding mast and spoiler contact :y :y :y

I bought one of these of prodrive on ebay. You could email him see if he has anymore.

Many thanks for your replies guys, tryed your link Pauls but no longer availalbe, dont really fancy the small threaded insert option as I think they look unsightly, must be an alternative, will keep looking around and let you know of my findings. Thanks again guys.
Regards John.

Hi peeps,
Will shortly be fitting a tailgate spoiler to my F/L CDX estate, and wondered if anyone could give advise on a direct replacement aerial which will not interfere with the spoiler on opening the tailgate?  Dont like the standard fit knuckle arrangement, rather fancied the shark fin aerials, until oof member pete purchased one from ebay and said to quote "may as well have purchased a metal coat hanger"  any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
                           John.

Omega General Help / Re: Advice needed..

sounds like a vacuum leak from somewhere, possible that one of the big 'o' rings on the plenum might not be right  :-\   take it back and get it put right  :y

Going back tommorow morning hopfully something as simple as that, a little annoyed really as they fitted a cam kit last year and all was fine, they would have had to remove the plenum for that. really does my head in, as I am mechanically minded but don't feel confident enough to have a go myself plus its chuffing cold outside :-\

Hi guys,
Took my 2.6 V6 petrol estate into a local garage to have the cam cover gaskests replaced today due to oil leaks. On collection all seemed fine but on stopping the engine there seams to be a sucking noise from the plenum as if a valve is shutting? this is also apparent on start up, and blipping the throttle, sounds like a vacum/ suction noise?  what have they done? didn't do it before and car runs fine.Have to take it back tomorrow would be nice to have a little knowledge as to what the problem may be, so he can rectify it. On the plus side oil leaks are cured (and he used vauxhall parts) just left with this anoyinng noise. any help would be gratefully recived.
Thanks in advance guys.
Jon. :(
