Title: My 226,000 mile Omega Elite.......
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 27 June 2019, 21:39:53
Yet again, she didn't let me down. After a tiny bit of tinkering this afternoon, I now have - Another year's motoring, without any advisories  8) 8) 8)

Apart from the arches, which he described as "cosmetic", the tester said it's "absolutely solid", sounds like a swiss watch, and that I'd be stupid to ever get rid :y

Poor old girl has been sat for a while, but I've just re-insured for a year, and ordered all the bits for a cambelt kit / pump / full service / ATF change, which I will slowly work through over the summer.

The aim, also, this summer, is to get some new rear arch panels put in, and the associated paintwork, so she'll be back to where she was this time only 18 months ago:

That's a nice looking car, James, no one would guess it had starship miles on it.  :y

She's looking a bit more sorry since they were taken, some bubbles on the arches, desperate need of a polish, and half a bush growing into the nearside  :-[ :-[ but the MOT result and testers comments, has given me some motivation to get it sorted :y :y

When I sold the estate for scrap recently. I almost put this one up for sale at £100 scrap value to go with it...... I'm glad that something stopped me  :y

Well done! As he says, be mad to get rid. In my experience Testers like to see stuff like Omegas come in, it's interesting, and not another dreary Korean hatchback.

Only a mere 208k.. catching you up  :y
