Any pics and whats on the clock :y also stay away from the freelander cos it will end up costing you more to run than your mig.

have to agree with the above, factor in head gasket changes if your getting the 1.8 petrol lump!

Hardly see how a freelander can be more economical than an Omega

hmmmm...really...?... i'm looking for a 2.0 diesel  version ....

i've read diesel freelanders do about 37mpg combined compared to the 23mpg miggy.....
not really that keen to get rid of my mig but i have to be realistic, what with the price of juice, road tax and all the other running costs.... :-/

I used to do alot of work on Freelanders, Discos, RRSports and RRVogues - and every mechanic at main dealers I talked to said Freelanders said they were very unreliable, and expensive to maintain. Better off with a Disco - roughly same money if you look carefully. ;)

Yep... Budget around £700-800 all in if you do the fitting yourself, then enjoy the savings :y :y :y

I run mine about, without sparing the horses, for about 11p per mile :y :y

performance is the same, its actually should be a little better as LPG is about 105 RON but knock sensors can't take full advantage.

Have to agree, LPG you current car

On a good setup you shoudn't notice any difference performance wise  - I've never known it to be better, though  :y

I don't know where you got those figures from but my beemer powered 2.5TD does closer to 30 round town and over 40 on a run.

The last free-lander I drove seriously had no head room, but then I am a short 6'2inch :P and I was not that impressed with them :o

If you are that serious, try renting one for the day ::)
