Does a reasonable job on my 2.6, 3.2 never needed it though as it never suffers any lifter noise.

Quite a few on here will vouch for it - it's the only snake oil that isn't entirely pants.

Maybe I'll give it a whirl.

Leave the beast for a couple of days and she gets a bit arsey when I start her up.

Try a couple of oil changes first and see if that helps, if only to clear out any crud that might otherwise get dislodged by the lifter cleaner and clog the pickup. :y

Every 3000 miles I refresh her lubrication so she is nice and slippery.

If I dip my fingers inside her, and then rub them together, I can tell that she is well looked after. :)

I should have guessed that you'd be tending to her lubrication with such dedication. ::)

Straight in with the Wynns, then. :y

Reason for asking is that 5w30 is thinner, so tends to drain down more readily, but flip side is that by virtue of being thicker, 10w40 takes a while to reach all the nooks and crannies until it's warmed up, that's where the lifter treatment comes in :y

Only about 100 miles since the last oil and filter change. So now seems as good a time as any.

Does it (Wynn's) work immediately, or will it take a few miles before I notice the difference?

On advice from this excellent forum, I tried the Wynn's and it worked immediately - no noises at all!
Thanks gents, as ever, so very helpful.

You should hear the difference as it circulates :y
