If I dip my fingers inside her, and then rub them together, I can tell that she is well looked after. :)

Thanks chaps. :y

I've ordered a 350ml bottle for £6.99 delivered.

Halfords want £8.99 collect in store.

Will 350ml be enough?

Only about 100 miles since the last oil and filter change. So now seems as good a time as any.

Does it (Wynn's) work immediately, or will it take a few miles before I notice the difference?

Depends on the lifter noise, for me the 3.2's lifters are silent on start up.

It's only when everything is hot, does it get fair bit of lifter noise. Master diagnosed a dead/sticky lifter on the passenger bank, chucking in the Wynn's did naff all.  :(

Probably a different issue, since normally it's the other way round. Rattling when the oil is hot is probably more likely down to the lifters leaking down due to wear whereas failure of them to fill quickly on startup is more likely due to contamination.

Yep. Mine is fine when warm. More vocal on start up.

I believe Tunnies issue is not lifter related, hence it didn't work for him.

However, it worked well on both my 3.2's as they did have a lifter related tap from cold, in conjunction with a couple of oil changes as said, it works well.

Hopefully should find out soon, plan to get them swapped out for another set :)

On a trip to Nottingham, master said (from about 15 feet away) that it was a dead lifter. Most likely on the passenger bank, very kindly gave me a bag of good lifters. I've just be lazy at fitting them.

Since Dbug appears to have good results on gaskets, going to use those on the rebuild. It's over-due a belt too, so thought do the whole lot in one go.

If you were down Cornwall / Devon way you could call into Trago and buy it for £4.99 a bottle.   ::)
