Sorry chaps.....WE have the fastest street legal car here in the UK,0- 60  in less than 1 second and top end at 230 mph.Any one who goes regularly up to Santa Pod will have seen it,the car is Red Victor 3 and is fully street legal and  based on the Vauxhall Victor,but that's where it ends as the car is pure race now. Can't do links but theres plenty of info on the car out there.The Yanks don't always have it their way

Andy Frost's car is UK street legal, but I've got a feeling that the Q8 car is a 'trailer queen' and although it is a doorslammer, and after doing a bit of ferreting around the teams website etc I can't see any mention of it being street legal.It would be interesting to see wether they would want to put their money where their mouth is with all that expensive speed equipment possibly cooking in a freeway traffic jam.Apologies for waffling on about it, it's just that I spend a lot of time during the summer months up at SPR, and it's also because I have the greatest respect for the guys who build these cars with their own money and minimal sponsorship.Unlike the guys across the pond who have easier access to the parts and the willingness from the sponsors in the US to get involved.
