Fitted a (heated a-la Ford, tinted) windscreen.

Either you're building it in the dining room or your garage is much too tidy. ::)

;D ;D That's the garage in the house - you couldn't park much in it, mind (thankfully the Cobra is very 1960s sized!)

I could post a picture of the other garage - that's much less tidy  :D

At least you're finding your way around the cat.
The second it happened, I had the sick-to-the-pit-of-your-stomach type feeling.  But then soon went all pragmatic, and felt at least I'd learnt some things, even if I had bricked an important module in the process.

Just shy of £130 later, and a trip to a breakers to pick up a slightly scratched touchscreen, the Black Pussy again allows access to climate, seat temperature control and massage, parking sensors, navigation, wireless, TV, CD player, Stored CDs, aux music, iPod, Bluetooth tunes, phone, setting the clock and so on.

Modern cars, so dependent on the screen  :(

And on many it's just stuck there in the middle like an iPad sikafled to the dash & not something I like

Wifey's lets her call with voice, dictate and read back text, sat nav, radio, etc, etc. It's the main selling point of that particular model, and is built for the modern generation, not for old fogies like us.

Don't know what the new Astra dash looks like, but I know what Andy B means. The new Fiesta-and at least some modern Mercs-have such a screen and it looks like an afterthought just stuck to the dash with no attempt made to integrate it into the dash design.

It looks like a design feature, not an afterthought of an iPad stuck on the facia.

Although, if it were an iPad stuck on the dash, at least you could replace/update it periodically  ::)

Apparently, there is an update for it. The nice Vauxhall dealer in Barnsley said they will do it when it next goes in.  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

It’s technology gone mad I tell you! If you ask me it all started to go down hill with the automatic choke.
