Thanks for the thought!  I have started an updated guide.  It is in the test forum for now.  I hope to finish it today if the weather is OK.

Right, mine is T-25 for the screw.

I've given you a bum stear - the slot needs to be perpendicular to windscreen base, parallel is the locked position. Sorry.

Here is piccie of the plastic bit...


and it fits in this kind of slot...

Are the plastic bits that secure the scuttle available from anywhere or is there a part number? Most of mine are missing or have stripped the tops making it hard if not impossible to turn. I suppose one could Mcgyer it with other type of newer push through fasteners. Any suggestions there! Thank you.

Well, it is 12 years old ;D
I suppose I will just be a man and measure the hole and stick anything in it that wouldn's be very painful to my 17 years old (Cadillac Catera - a sister of your Omega B).  :D

Last week I ordered 2 packs of new "screws" (5 in a pack) from the Opel dealer in Estonia. Takes about a week to arrive - a total of 10 screws for 8€. I showed the "screw" to the salesman, he searched them up on his computer and gave me the bill.
