Would anyone be interested in my MV6?
« on: 12 March 2009, 12:03:08 »

Just seeing if its worth selling on here or if i'll trade it in, so bit of info:-

1999 'T' plate 3ltr V6 MV6 in Polar Sea Blue, mini facelift, full customer version not an ex-plod fake

I bought it Nov 2004 with 80k, its now done 156k.

Cam belt and tensioners were changed by MDTM and LB66 at the cambelt party in Feb 2007 at 129k so its good for another 10ishk or 2 years.

Since i have owned it its always been run on fully synthetic Mobil 1 0w 40, the breathers are always clean as a whistle, but due to age the cam cover gaskets were replace with genuine GM items at the the 'party' at Shifnal in Feb last year along with the HBV.

New 'dis-pack' fitted last year along with 10mm uprated HT leads (in a nice blue colour  :))

Its had new whishbones with drop links fitted approx 9 months ago.

Just after i got it i had a cat back stainless system fitted, so no exhaust issues.

Its running a FULL Irmscher spring and damper set up, this was fitted just before Christmas

2 new tyres were fitted 3 weeks ago and it had a full 4 wheel alignment set up (have the print outs if interested)

All the common 'faults'  that occur on Omegas have been delt with!!  :)

Comes with Standard GM 'chip' along with an e-bay one and an M-tek one.

I can produce rolling road results showing 223 and 247bhp (make of them what you will).

It has also been in Total Vauxhall with the 247bhp result  :)

Currently on pre facelift MV6 alloys that i had re powder coated and the rim diamond cut about 3 years ago. 2 are in good condition 2 need doing again, but i do have a 5th one that has never had a tyre on it.

I also have 4 more pre-facelift MV6 alloys with average tyres that would be included, these wheels are in good condition and round.

Its got grooved and drilled discs all round with green stuff pads on the front and EBC performance pads on the rear.

Has mesh front grill fitted, but have standard one as well if prefered.

Internally its a standard customer MV6 with the addition of a rear parcel shelf blind and a very rare and expensive Irscher carbon leather steering wheel. I have the standard wheel as well

The standard CCR 700 (or what ever the number is, its the integrated telphone OnStar headunit) with 6 disc changer will go back in, this all works and i have all the codes (unless you want to do a deal on the in dash flip out screen, DVD player, mini disc, cd changer, 2* 10" subs and amp i currently have fitted)

Everything else works as it should

Bad pionts:-

Bit of rust appearing on the bottom of drivers door, few stone chips, scrape and damage to the nearside bumper between wheel arch and 'corner', but i have a replacement bumper and chrome trim that will go with the car, its only the black and chrome damaged not the coloured bit. Needs a new windscreen, depending on what i get for it that will be done

Apart from that its all good.

Have lots of MOT certificates and previous bills that confirm the millage.

I'm 3rd owner (iirc)

Has a dateless plate thats worth bugger all but its yours for free (if you've got the initials VEG then it would be worth something to you!!  ;D)

MOT runs untill 8th October 2009

Tax runs out end March

If anyones interested ill get some pics up.

Looking around the £1000, bearing in mind if you are that way inclined the 'extra' wheels will get £150, the steering wheel £100ish it makes it a cheap car.

Its in Essex BTW but depending where i get my next car from delivery could be available  ( in return for a trip to the station/ garage ;D)

Yep that was most likely it, i came off M25 at jct 10 to pick up the new purchaser at Byfleet on my way to Chorleywood to get the replacement, then he took it home to Portsmouth  :)

You did have the chance to buy it, have to say he did get a good deal  :)
