No doubt some will say WD are shite and should never buy Re-certified Drive from the Manufacture but I thought for £39 (with Code and Free Shipping) was good value, also got another 7% plus a £2.50 bonus off that with Quidco, if it tracks. :y
Wont be using as a Main Bak Up Drive probably 2nd or 3rd just in case scenario or try it on the TV Port for Recordings?. By the way, dont think these are Sata Drives inside but the later dedicated USB Hardware in case your thinking about breaking into the encolosure :-\
1TBs available for £24 and 3Tb for cant remember now, use Code 5OFFWDUK for £5 off an already Discount Offer Price. ;)

WD and Seagate I tend to avoid but with all HDDs it is the case they all fail at some point. :-[

I have a record for faliing SSD's over HD's, hence why Im buying and going back to HD for Back Up proposes. :-\

Nought from with WD - they had a reliability issue a while back. Or Seagate for that matter.
Re-certified probably needs clarity before I'd rely on it, but as long as its not the only backup....

Yep, 3rd in line Bak Up use, arrived today, small box inside another box, bubble wrap then in a bigger box, by UPS, and that was Standard Free Delivery. had a quick play, seems to do what it says on the tin, reasonably quiet and fast, so well see, just doing a Crystal Mark test now. :)
TV USB port didnt like it though, although Ive yet to find a Drive or SSD that works on the TV other than SD Cards, it is an old'ish Loewe though, so that option is out the window. ;D

Mrs TB has a cheap. nasty Tesco TV in her playroom, and most USB drives work well in that. That said, I've not tried a big one.
Additionally, the bloody thing plays almost any format on the drive.

My WD portable USB hard drive works on both the home tv (Samsung) and the caravan TV (Toshiba).
