the Pajero i'm driving is a 97P with less than 70,000 miles on it

Miles or km's. It might be on A N Other speedo from a Shogun. My brother FTO used to read miles per hour on the dial but the odometer used to clock up kilometers.  :-?

and more suited to Edinburgh's flowing traffic.  ;)  ;)

Some thing just aren't the same without a bit of fat. A nice bit of beef on a Sunday roast with a bit of fat, or pork with cracklin. Mmmm :y  :y

Wouldn't change her for the world. She'll be home from uni this week end, we're braced ready. It's like a whirl wind when she arrives & Sunday night when she's gone, you're not quite sure whether you've gone deaf or not.  ;D  ;D  :y

You'll be able to add it to the list of tales that you can tease her with when she's a big girl.

One of the best we tease our daughter with (she's 18 now) was when she was about 4 & sat in the back of the car. She burst out crying saying that she'd lost the little finger of her brand new watch. It was 10 past 2!  ;D  ;D  ;D

My understanding that the UK was one of the few countries where you are allowed to park facing traffic - something which is illegal in many other countries....

I thought this was actually illegal, but largely unenforced. In the case of an accident involving a car parked facing traffic though (particularly at night due to reflectors) it may be taken into account.

I do admit to occasionally doing it when in a town or city centre, purely because spaces are hard to come by, so if you see one on the opposite side of the road by the time you turn around someone else will have taken it! Other than that I will park facing the correct way, apart from anything else it's safer and easier to get into and out of the space if there is any traffic on the road.

Many moons ago when the world was in black & white  ;) in the small cul-de-sac opposite my parents house, a car drove at speed in reverse into the front of a car that was facing in the wrong direction. The coppers in the reversing car prosecuted the owner of the stationary car!!!  :-? The reason for this fit of pique, was cos it was parked facing the wrong dirction! >:(

TBH Mike, I might have to seriously think about that this year with the continually rising fuel and running costs. .....

Will there be an OOFbay auction for it?  ;) I'd be tempted! :y
