Oil pressure sensor leak.
« on: 05 June 2016, 19:05:42 »

I have a slight leak from the oil pressure sensor. Can I ask if there is a torque setting for them and if they need a metal o ring?

Is it leaking from the threads, or through the body which is a common Vauxhall problem?

Whatever the cause, a new one is less than a fiver and comes with a new crush washer.

According to Haynes the oil pressure warning light switch[screwed into oil pump housing at front of engine]has a sealing washer with a torque setting of40Nm.The oil level sensor[in the sump pan]has a torque setting of 8Nm. HTH.
