What temperature does your Omega usually run at?

I do 25-30K a year most in London via M1 4 days a week.

I like the car cool. (Mrs doesn't)

Last few days with AC on (20 degrees) temp has exceeded 95 & gone to 100. 

Coolant was topped up and OK.

Any comments & opinions/advice?

When it goes up to near 100C, do the high speed fans come on and bring it back down to approx. 88C (FL) or 93C (PFL/MFL) ?

3.2 is between 85c & 90c, never seen it go above 95c.

I'd be concerned at it hitting 100c

With a/c on about 90
But can run just under 100 if you got antifreeze nothing to worry about

The car I have now tends to sit around the 85/90 mark with the fans kicking in just over the 90 mark.

But remember that the dash temp gauge is rarely accurate, use OBD for actual correct temps. But then again, modern pressurized system with coolant in it can go to like 104-105C without boiling so I wouldnt worry about anything at 100C or less.

Yesterday, when outside temperature hit 34c mine hovered at about 90c when I was in heavy traffic.  All fans came on and stopped it hitting 100c.

Our V6 Omega's run very hot normally, but with the weather like it is they hit the highest levels possible without boiling over!

Fans certainly come on and run on briefly even after arriving home. My recollection is that gauge usually shows about 90. Gauge could be dodgy I suppose. I'll just make sure I keep coolant topped up. It was warm yesterday

Do you have to regularly top up the coolant? There may lie your problem....
I've had V6 Omegas for 13 years now - in that time I've only had one which I have had to top up the coolant level, and that was only because the HBV was leaking. On all the others, the coolant level has always remained constant and never has needed topping up.

Im not talking about Omega but could a leaking coolant tank like that cause bad flow in a car? I mean if the pressure escapes so the coolant doesnt flow properly? Modern cars need pressure for proper flow everywhere right?
