Sorry, but not a car I would touch with yours...

Only things that spring to mind are:

Cap failed
Waterpump leak/weak having not been changed with cambelt
Heater matrix blocked/chemical sealant/sludge in system

All pretty standard coolant culprits, but couldn't tell you how susceptible that engine would be :-\

Sorry, but not a car I would touch with yours...

Only things that spring to mind are:

Cap failed
Waterpump leak/weak having not been changed with cambelt
Heater matrix blocked/chemical sealant/sludge in system

All pretty standard coolant culprits, but couldn't tell you how susceptible that engine would be :-\

New pump+timing stuff, new thermostat and still no flow to radiator really, bottom hose is cold... When upto temps, get hissing noise from the reservoir as pressure is escaping and little coolant loss too.

Put a litre of coolant in tank on Tuesday morning. Coolant level light came on this morning during daily commute to London, 90 mile round trip on M1/A406/A40. Temp 90-94. Fans OK. Can smell it after daily run. Loosing it somewhere but not sure where.
Serek will take a look for me next week.   :(
