Engine breather
« on: 26 July 2017, 10:47:20 »

Hi.  I'm trying to find an engine breather for my Omega 2.2 DTI 16v diesel.  Vauxhall don't stock them any more.  Any suggestions as to where I might find one?  Many thanks.  Tom

Thanks for the response but this seems only to fit Vectra, not Omega.  Thanks anyway.

Probably talking nonsense, but I think some Vectra parts fit an Omega, by past posts. Someone will probably come along and give correct response :y

is it the breather intake hose one on top of engine or the one that feeds from the sump breather hose as the GM 90528773 is the top one ( fits to the main air intake pipe ) and the PART NO:90528773 is the feed pipe for the sump pipe to top of engine cam cover..

Many thanks for all your replies.  The garage where my car is is claiming that they can't find the part.  They refer to it both as 'oil breathers' and 'engine breather'.  Sorry to show my ignorance, but are the parts recommended above likely to be the ones that are needed?  Many thanks.

Is the breather holed or cacked up. If the latter ask them to give it to you, clean it up yourself and save the money. If holed then ask why as it shouldn't be rubbing on anything.

Hello everybody.  I really do appreciate all your help.  Garage is being hopeless in sourcing me a new engine breather but I have managed to get them to show me exactly what they're talking about.  It's round, plastic and to the right of the engine block at the top.  It's not a tube or a pipe.  Any suggestions as to where i can get one much appreciated.   :)
