Also, her commute involves lots of high speed stretches and roundabouts, complete with 'nutters in a hurry'. So it would have to get away from the roundabouts quickly, unlike my weakling of an astra.

Do you really need two cars, Steve?

Surely you could take the bus. The money saved could be used to finance a more expensive car. A car suitable for a high-flying teacher. :)

I think it's either gonna be an astra or a focus, if I do decide to change it. A new(different) Renault seems to be impractical because they have fallen victim to the Eurocrats and have weedy engines in them now.

A headteacher should be driving a Mercedes, BMW or Porsche, 4x4 model of course.

Astras and the like are the preserve of the substitute teacher.
