About Bl@@dy time, 0800 on your Mobile
« on: 01 July 2015, 12:28:03 »

As from today all 0800 and 0808 Freephone Numbers are Free to call on your Mobile  :y its only taken them 30 odd years to sort it out.  ::)

Now all they have to do is sort out the astronomical fees they charge for making so called local and national call rates, ie 0845 0870 0871 etc.

For reference, anything beginning with 03 ie, 0345 does actually get charged off your mins allowance.  :y

Think Three and some older Orange tariffs were free but this is now a Ofcom ruling that all UK Networks offer Free calls from today onwards

We have free 0800 on our tariffs on EE I bet they don't lower the monthly payment to reflect the change though

I used NiffNaff for ages, before getting pissed off with O2's piss poor 3G and 4G coverage, and that had free 0800.

In a couple of years, EU roaming will be a thing of the past as well :D

Yea that's another joke, especially as most Mobile Networks now use VOIP for most International Calls.

Last time I was in Hong Kong, UK Vodacrap wanted £1.80 per min to call back to the UK. Where as the HK Hutchinson Mobile Sim was 2p per min to UK and that's using the Sim cost rather than via a Phone Card which would have brought it down to 0.5p.  ::)

Don't pay a mobile bill, get it through work. Been on O2/Voda/EE over the years, found EE best for signal and 4G.

No idea on costs though, always get warned 0800 numbers charged though.

Each Mobile Service Provider has their own tariffs that often need fine tooth combs to decipher !
