Got my Miror Working
« on: 14 August 2006, 21:11:06 »

Finally got round to looking at the electro-chromatic rear view mirror.

It now dips as it should.

I didn't see that there was two IGN wires for the mirror.

Connected them both up, and it now works as it should.

Sorted!

Still got about 9" of the memory loom on it too, so, maybe if I can get leather (Need the mushroom), then I can get this going too.

Still a list of other things that need to be done first.

Got to change that cambelt as well!

Well done on the mirror.

I too, have a long list of jobs to do on my Omega:

I have done the following so far:

1.   Cambelt, Water Pump and Air Con Condensor Change (dealer did this)
2.   Full Valet (and I mean full everything cleaned and even treated the leather)
3.   Fitted a new ICE System including CD Changer in boot (Yet to run wires along door tread plates     though)
4.   Tonight, finally finished my coolant change including fitting a new header tank
5.   Changed all basic filters (air and pollen)
6.   Oil and Filter Change
7.   New Battery

Still a bit more to do but the single thing that has improved the car the most? The full clean and polish!

Good luck with yours.

Well done on the mirror.  Great little gadget.

Isn't it weird how much better the car goes and feels with a good clean and polish?

Congrats on the mirror mate, this is one thing still needing to be wired upto my seats when I can find the time to make up the loom for it.  :)

Is there any chance a How2 guide could be created on this subject as I have a mirror mounted to the ceiling but not wired in  >:(
