I reckon that I could cope with the wiring and the evaporator fitment - it is just the drillings for the injectors along with the filler neck that scares me off somewhat.

Just done - I searched myself and posted the link up.

Nice review if I may say - I wish I had the skills to do a conversion on mine!

I am still a member and occasionally look around.  Have not posted once since this forum was started ;D

What was the title of the thread and I will direct accordingly.

I always used to use Castrol Magnatec.  Since then I read on "the other place" and here that the Vaux semi synth stuff is best so that is what goes in now.

Still use Castrol for my van and minibuses though.

Sorry to hear about this.  The lack of interest showed by the Police is just typical.  Yet, if you were doing 35 in a 30 limit they would be all over you.  I have to wonder just what the force are paid for these days - it is certinally not detecting and dealing with crime that is for sure.

Hope you catch up with the car mate - there can't be that many MK2 pick up transits running about and wish you every success with this lead.

Whatever you do, make sure you stay within the law yourself - remember that the law seems to be on the side of the criminal these days!

We all await the details with much interest.

Good luck with it and here's to another good profit!

Where I live there used to be loads of yards.  Now only a couple which is a shame.  All in the name of Health and Safety and the Environment.

I used to spend my entire summer holidays from school in there dismantling engines at the rear corner.  In those days the yards were mainly full of Mark 1 & 2 escorts, Vauxhall Chevetts, MK2 Cavaliers, and Rootes Group products (Hillman Avengers, the odd Hunter and Minx, Sunbeams and even, once, a Humber Sceptre MK2).  Rootes were always my favourite cars.

As I recall, virtually half of the yard by population was the Chrysler / Talbot range of products i.e. Horizons, Alpines, Solaras (an Alpine with a boot), Rancho and even the odd Tagora.

Happy days and enjoyed remembering them.  Sorry about the length of post (again)!

Just adding my congrats to everyone - especially those who run this site and set it up in the first place.

Would like to add that it has taken me hardly any time to reach a "reasonable" amount of posts here.  Most forums I hang around a bit, post a bit then get bored and don't bother any more.

Now, this timing belt video - when is it available?

Welcome back - hope you had a nice time.  If only Omega's returned that sort of MPG ;D

Site is doing extremely well with really committed people running it.

I contribute where I can so feel kind of qualified to answer your question! :)
