I do believe there is some form of charter whereby the french can't change the price without permission.....so it's still the governments fault

Stupid thing is, you only pay one-way at Wales, and there is no good reason why when the bridge opened it shouldn't have been free & double the tunnel charge. There own website figures show it's roughly equal both ways, and no-one in there right mind would go south on the bridge, & all the way to the Blackwall tunnel to avoid the cost.

It is the largest transport con on earth, especially as it's now run by the French, so much so that they've changed the law to allow average speed cameras on privately run roads, which is why they've been up for over 3 years, but only active in the last month.

1st tunnel "it'll be free when it's paid for"
"oh hang on, we need another tunnel, it'll be free when it's paid for"
"oh hang on, we need a bridge, it'll be free when it's paid for"

Several years later, it's now no more than a cash cow. I understand it needs funds for escorts for dangerous goods, and for when they have to shut the bridge in a stiff breeze.

The congestion is caused solely by the booths, irrespective of size/weight/country of origin.

If they're gonna f**k us over, at least they could do it electronically with ANPR like the other great con charge......at least then we wouldn't have to pay for the hours of delay there

I don't really care what side the wheel is on, as long as there's one at each corner!

Unless I finally get the db7gt, or the 328gts I want, I don't think I could go back to manual, all my driving is flat out or break all, see no point in a clutch for every day driving

Is it that bad?

Swapped mig for an Insignia CDTI SRI as it's gone for insurance repair. Seat's uncomfortable, turbo lags & a lesser spec'd model but otherwise ok.

Although having put £85 of diesel in it, told by computer it has 645m of range, and having driven it to chelmsford, stafford, surrey, york, surrey & home discovered it was telling the truth, I wonder why in hell I'm driving a 3.2 v6 in the first place!

Are there any other diesel migs other than the 2.2?

Still playing silly buggers, but seems to be only when under a 1/4 tank of fuel, keeping it over that makes it behave.

I'm thinking fuel pump, any opinions for/against?

Sorry to hear that Adrian.Thats a nice example youve got there too. Dont want it to end up in the same state as the previous one. ::) ;D

I know mate, & thank you, but the miles & things do with it are the reason I keep buying them....will try my best not to!

Got rear-ended by a dozy tart in a cheap porsche. Someone pulled out on the woman in front, she stopped, I stopped, f^*kin woman behind me didn't.

No injuries, probably 10mph into me whilst I was staionary but I now have the agro of a courtesy car & and insurance company for a new bumper, and reverse sensors that seem to not know where they are!

I know she wasn't gonna admit liability (although there's no chance it was anything but her fault), but she gives me attitude for stopping so quick! If I didn't have morals I'd claim whiplash just to cost her more money
