I bumped into him while going into the bar at the Albert hall in 1991. Almost knocked his pint out of his hand, but he apologised to me. 

He has always come across as a real gent, unlike some others in that profession, and your experience Migv6 backs that up

I have been a follower of Eric from his Yardbirds days, the fantastic Cream, short lived Blind Faith, then Derick and the Dominos , into his brilliant solo career.

Theres still time. He plays gigs in this country every year, usually at the Albert Hall. Tbh, though, at 74, he isn't exactly at his peak these days, but still better than most of what passes for music these days.

    Didn't know that.  I thought he had problems with his throat,or something, but still even at 74 I bet he can still give them that lovely blues sound

He has problems with his arms. Has some nerve damage from playing for 60 years, which limits what he can do at times.
As said, if you haven't already watched A life in 12 bars, its an absolute must. Tells his whole life story, warts and all, from birth to a year or so ago.
